Day-Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station – Gangtok
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to Gangtok, the charming capital of Sikkim. Check in to your hotel and relax after your journey. The rest of the day is free for leisure. In the evening, explore M.G. Marg, known for its shops, cafés, and pleasant atmosphere. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2: Gangtok Sightseeing – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the beautiful Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, located approximately 55 km one way from Gangtok. Enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and peaceful surroundings of this high-altitude destination. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Gangtok.
Note: If Tsomgo Lake is inaccessible due to landslides or poor road conditions, alternative sightseeing will be arranged. Nathula Pass permits are subject to availability, and the pass is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Requests must be made at least three days in advance. Charges may be non-refundable if roads close due to weather after a permit has been issued.
Day 3: Gangtok Local Sightseeing – Transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering Enchey Monastery, Bakthang Falls, the Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, the Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology. The sightseeing tour generally takes three to four hours. Later, drive to Darjeeling through the scenic mountain landscape. On arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Begin your day early, around 4:00 AM, with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, weather permitting. On the return journey, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop, famous for its scenic toy-train route and War Memorial.
After breakfast, continue sightseeing at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, a tea garden, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, and Darjeeling Ropeway, subject to opening days and operating conditions. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 5: Darjeeling – Bagdogra Airport
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your return flight. Conclude your holiday with wonderful memories of Darjeeling’s tea gardens, peaceful monasteries, and spectacular Himalayan landscapes.
