Day-Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and transfer to Gangtok, the beautiful capital of Sikkim. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the city at your own pace. In the evening, stroll along the lively M.G. Marg, known for its shops, cafés, and pleasant atmosphere. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2: Gangtok Sightseeing – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the spectacular Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, approximately 55 km one way from Gangtok. Enjoy the scenic mountain roads and the peaceful surroundings of this high-altitude destination. Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.
Note: If Tsomgo Lake is inaccessible due to landslides or poor road conditions, alternative sightseeing will be arranged. Nathula Pass permits depend on availability, and the pass is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Requests must be made at least three days in advance; permit and tour charges may be non-refundable if weather conditions subsequently close the roads.
Day 3: Gangtok to Lachung
After breakfast, depart for Lachung, a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim. En route, visit Singhik View Point, Seven Sisters Waterfall, and Naga Waterfall, enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery along the way. Arrive in Lachung by evening, check in to your hotel, and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in Lachung.
Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion
After breakfast, travel to the beautiful Yumthang Valley, popularly known as the Valley of Flowers. Admire its scenic landscapes, mountain views, and seasonal floral beauty. On the return journey, visit the local hot spring, traditionally known for its perceived medicinal properties. Return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay in Lachung.
Day 5: Lachung to Gangtok
After breakfast, depart from Lachung and drive back to Gangtok. Enjoy the picturesque journey through the mountains and stop to admire the beautiful Bheema and Twin Waterfalls along the way. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 6: Gangtok Local Sightseeing & Transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering Enchey Monastery, Bakthang Falls, the Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, the Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology. The sightseeing tour generally lasts three to four hours. Later, drive to Darjeeling and check in to your hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 7: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Start early, around 4:00 AM, for a visit to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, weather permitting. On the return journey, visit Ghoom Monastery and the famous Batasia Loop, known for its scenic railway curves and War Memorial. After breakfast, continue sightseeing at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, a tea garden, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, and Darjeeling Ropeway, subject to opening days and operating conditions. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 8: Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your onward flight. Conclude your holiday with wonderful memories of the Eastern Himalayas, romantic mountain views, scenic valleys, and peaceful hill towns.
